4 - Bikes What to Use and What to Bring Portugal

Well-being and comfort are always essential elements in enjoying a cycling holiday. But not enough, so we present you our biking essentials!

Portugal is known for its mild temperatures throughout the year, but it is advisable to always carry rain or cold weather gear, such as a waterproof jacket and, in some parts of the country, it may be necessary to wear thermal trousers. We recommend cycling shorts or trousers and trainers. We advise you to bring your own trainers, preferably already with some use, but if necessary we can find an alternative for you (contact us). For maximum comfort you can also bring your own pedals, which along with your cycling trainers, will ensure you are very comfortable.
It is essential to have a backpack to carry your belongings during the day. However, you don’t need to worry about your suitcase as we always secure baggage transfer during the bike tours. If you prefer to carry your own luggage, we can provide for this on request, by supplying bags for transport.
As for the helmet, we can always provide you with one and it is advisable to use one on all trails.
On average, the sun shines 300 days a year in Portugal, so we advise you to bring all of your sun kit: sunscreen and sunglasses.
A camera is always good company to have a visual record of what your memories when you get back home.
