The overwhelming city of Évora is just 10 minutes away from “Casa do Governador”. This city is over 2000 years old and because it’s one of the richest cities of the country, when it comes to historical heritage, it was awarded the name of Museum City. The centre, protected by the outside walls, is the stage for this entire legacy. The most relevant monuments are Diana’s Roman Temple, the S. Francisco Chruch and the Bone’s Chapel, the Cathedral and the city Castle.
