Portugal is a relatively small country but with an immense art collection and an array of museums to be explored.

Let’s start with Lisbon! One of our favourite museums is the Coaches museum, recently moved to the Belém area, this museum is a beauty itself. With the world’s largest collection of magnificent royal coaches dating back from the 17th century till the late 19th, you will emerge in an exquisite & royal ambiance.
It is also a good program to do in family however kids may be disappointed as they cannot jump into the coaches.

Lisbon Story Centre does not have the name of Museum however it is an institution that cares for a collection of artificats, we can consider it as one as it preserves a collection of memories about Portugal and Lisbon. You are driven thro ugh the museums whilst your listen to the story of the city on you own language via headphones and also with the help of some technology such as videos, projections and 3D animations. A must visit sight, also very interesting for children.

Heading North of Portugal, another interesting museum is Serralves in Porto. A contemporary museum with the signature of the famous Portuguese architect Siza Vieira, Serralves Museum shows the history of the contemporary art from the 60´s until the present date. It hosts different exhibitions and collections and the gardens are also unmissable. With its beautiful plant settlement and extension, a stroll after visiting the museum is a must.

The list of museums in Portugal is long and it obviously depends on your particular interest but be ensured whether you are more into a history, contemporary or classic art, Portugal has museums to host all tastes.
