Underwater Tourism in the Algarve
In 2013, the Portuguese Navy sank four of its warships in order to create one of the largest underwater parks in Europe. The vessels are about 3 miles from Portimão and at a depth of 30 metres. They are ideal for lovers of diving. They represent a true underwater museum and are aimed at sustainable tourism, protecting biodiversity and the environment.
