In Ponte de Lima, a charming village in Minho region, north of Portugal, there are several rail trails and all of them go through idyllic scenarios, among mountains, forests, rivers and typical villages. Pedal calmly by the rail trail that extends along the river Lima so that you can enjoy the silence and the natural landscape that makes this rail trail one of the most beautiful of the country.
Be sure to visit the village centre, surrounded by a medieval wall and overlooking the river. Cross the medieval bridge to see the two banks of the river and when you feel you need to rest, head towards Carmo's Boutique Hotel.
Carmo's Boutique Hotel is next to the Açudes rail trail, an elegant and intimate boutique hotel that invites you to participate in authentic experiences of the region. It is here that you will have the opportunity to know the flavours of the region and sleep in a luxury tent overlooking Minho mountain range.
The route is set on a deactivated rail that is now a bike trail with 20 kilometres. The level of difficulty is easy to moderate. This tour is self-guided so it is up to you to decide your date of departure, we will be here!
