We are Filipa and Iva, two sisters who ♥ Portugal and believe that small is beautiful. We were born and raised in the North of Portugal and soon realized that we love to speak with new people, share our special tips of where to stay and what to do in the most authentic places of Portugal.

Additionally, planting indigenous trees and shrubs in Portugal is a decisive gesture. Every effort is important to mitigate and adapt to climate change, helping in preserving biodiversity and reducing the spread of fires. At We Love Small Hotels we have associated with ZERO organization and so when you chose to travel with us to Portugal, we will plant a tree for you. She believes the world is her home and embraces every opportunity to discover new places, cultures, and perspectives. Her passion for authentic travel led her to explore Portugal from north to south through We Love Small Hotels, seeking out extraordinary places and remarkable people who embody the true spirit of Portuguese hospitality. She's the one who designs each traveler's itinerary and stays alongside them from the first conversation to the final day of the trip, so there's always a familiar voice who knows their journey.

Iva - Solar Egas Moniz Manager · Co-founder

The younger sister, Iva is a dreamer at heart and a natural caregiver. Her greatest joy comes from welcoming people and creating experiences that make guests feel truly at home.

You will often find her at Solar Egas Moniz, carefully preparing every detail of a guest's stay or imagining new ideas for the next yoga retreat. She's the one who handpicks the hotels and experiences in every itinerary, personally choosing the stays and moments that make each journey feel considered and genuine. Constantly exploring new dimensions of personal growth, she nurtures her passions for yoga, horses, and holistic wellbeing. With a warm smile and a kind word for everyone she meets, Iva brings a sense of calm, light, and genuine hospitality to every experience. Her thoughtful nature, dedication, and generosity leave a lasting impression on all who cross her path.
