Surfing Days in Matosinhos

In Portugal, the North is known for its rigor, and the sea is no exception! Onda Pura Surf School takes you to experience the waves of Matosinhos beach, where you can find the famous right tubular. The ocean deserves respect, but Onda Pura (surf school) ensures excellent conditions for learning surf including, obviously, the necessary equipment to the sport (which is free to use after class).

This beach is covered by a busy movimented marginal from morning until the dawn of the next day, with nightlife guaranteed by bars and nightclubs that channel the young people of Porto to this area. The marginal is also commonly used to promote active and healthy life with outdoor demonstrations of activities and sports, especially during the summer.

The building dates back to 1872 and opened its doors in 2014, after a profound remodelling process in which the house’s original details where kept intact.

We invite you to surf the waves of the ocean in the morning and find the beauty of the North in the afternoon. There are plenty of places to visit: from the most urban, as Porto and Guimarães; to the preserved villages where lives tradition and authenticity; through the splendid view scenic Douro Wine Region, elevated to World Heritage of Unesco, as the oldest wine region in the world.
