The Experience

The historical Camino de Santiago de Compostela with over 1000 years old has been one of the most important Christian pilgrimage routes of the World. It attracts not only pilgrims but travellers and hikers due to the beauty of its landscapes, the charms of the villages where it goes along, the legacy of the historical sights and its own magical energy.

The Portuguese Camino de Santiago connects Ponte de Lima in Minho region with Santiago de Compostela where you will find the Cathedral where Santiago is believed to be buried.

Take the opportunity to embark on this adventure of Camino de Santiago by walking and get to know the north of Portugal and Galicia on a different approach, while indulging handpicked small boutique hotels: places full of character, delicious breakfasts and wonderfully comfortable beds.

Don’t forget your pilgrim's credential, a kind of passport which must be stamped on each stage of the route. Its origins date back to the Middle Ages and the document which was given to pilgrims for use as a safe-conduct. It must be stamped at least two times a day over the final 100 km (for pilgrims walking). The only official and valid credential is issued by the Pilgrim Office.

In Camino de Santiago, enjoy the mild weather, the rich history and culture, the traditional food, while hiking in beautiful trails and rural landscapes.
